About Scott

Scott Bishop started Up And Social in 2012 after watching a web design firm charge a family member roughly $50,000 for a website that never brought in a single client. That experience set the standard the agency still runs on: no jargon, no vanity metrics, no contracts that outlive the results.

Today Scott leads a Boston-based team that works almost exclusively with family law firms across the US, on divorce, custody, child support, prenuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters. His focus is the part most marketing companies skip: how people actually search when they are in crisis, and what a firm has to look like online at that moment to be the one they call.

That has pushed Scott and his team out ahead of traditional SEO into AI visibility, making sure a firm shows up when prospective clients ask ChatGPT, Google AI results, and other AI tools who they should hire. It is the same work he writes about here: local search, reviews, intake, paid ads, and the unglamorous fundamentals that decide whether a strong attorney is findable or invisible.

Scott writes for attorneys as peers, not prospects. Expect plain math, real examples from firms doing $500K to $3M, and the occasional uncomfortable truth about what your last agency was hoping you would not check.

What Scott writes about

01

AI search visibility

Getting firms named by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity when someone asks for a lawyer.

02

Local search and the map pack

Google Business Profile, reviews, and location content that put a firm in the three-pack for its market.

03

Paid ads that track to cases

Ad accounts measured by signed clients and cost per case, not clicks or impressions.

04

Intake and conversion

The gap between a lead and a retainer. Speed to lead, form friction, and copy that stops sounding interchangeable.
